What Makes High Temperature Thermal Grease Different?

Low Thermal Stripping Rate
Ordinary Thermal Grease has a low heat resistance temperature, and the structure of thermally conductive silicone grease changes when the temperature exceeds its limiting temperature. The gel state of Thermal Grease may turn into a liquid state, causing it to peel off from the contact interface. GALLOP INNOTEK high temperature thermal grease maintains long-term structural stability at high temperatures.
Stability of Fillers
Ordinary thermal grease uses fillers such as Aluminium Oxide to increase the thermal conductivity. But aluminium oxide undergoes crystalline transformation above a certain temperature. This will reduce the thermal conductivity. GALLOP INNOTEK high temperature thermal grease uses a more stable thermally conductive filler, reducing the effect of temperature on the thermal conductivity.
Thermal Resistance Stability at High Temperatures
When the temperature is too high, ordinary thermal grease undergoes oxidation and produces impurities. This increases the thermal resistance and seriously affects the effective transfer of heat. GALLOP INNOTEK high temperature thermal grease has a higher temperature resistance and reduces this phenomenon.
Types of High Temperature Thermal Grease

- Ceramicized Thermal Grease: Ceramicized thermal grease is made from modified methyl silicone oil and ceramicized thermal fillers. At normal temperatures, it is like normal thermal grease. At high temperatures, it transforms into an ultra-thin ceramic layer and continues to provide high thermal conductivity.
- Fluorosiloxanes: Fluorosiloxanes are ultra-high-performance thermal greases that can withstand operating temperatures up to 350 degrees, but they are costly. You can use them in extremely harsh environments.
- Phase Change Composites: Phase change composites undergo a solid-liquid phase change in response to temperature changes, thereby maintaining a stable thermal conductivity. This makes thermally conductive gels more durable for you to use at high temperatures.
High Temperature Thermal Grease Application

GALLOP INNOTEK high-temperature thermal grease is applied between the heating element and the heat sink and is commonly used in the following applications:
- Computer processors and heat sinks
- High-watt density assemblies
- Power semiconductors
- CPU computers, GPUs
- High power density LED module
- Power supplies, power transistors in general
- Semiconductor cases and heat sinks
- Thermoelectric cooling devices
- Signal transmitter, PC peripherals, overclock systems
How to Choose The Right High Temperature Thermal Grease?

- Temperature range: Select the appropriate GALLOP INNOTEK high-temperature thermal grease according to the temperature range. Choose a more thermally stable material for working in high-temperature environments to avoid the high cost of the performance process.
- Insulation: If you want to use GALLOP INNOTEK high-temperature thermal grease in precision circuits, such as motherboards, choosing thermal grease with electrical insulation can better protect your product’s safety and stability.
- Thermal conductivity level: GALLOP INNOTEK high temperature thermal grease all have strong thermal conductivity. If your product needs stronger heat dissipation, choose a higher-performance thermal grease.
- Ease of installation: If you need to automate large quantities, choose GALLOP INNOTEK high-temperature thermal grease, which is easy to apply and does not flake off.
- Fill Size: GALLOP INNOTEK high-temperature thermal grease must completely fill the interfacial gap and be as thin as possible to achieve the best performance.
High temperature thermal grease has a certain degree of adhesion that allows it to adhere to complex surfaces and remain stable for a long time. It is somewhat resistant to vibration, but it is not a thermally conductive adhesive and does not provide a strong connection between the two components.
Some of the modules of your product, such as the motherboard and battery, generate a lot of heat during use, and thermal grease is more efficient in exporting the heat timely manner to ensure the stable operation of your product and avoid overheating and damage to the equipment. In addition, if your equipment is used in a high-temperature environment, high temperature thermal grease can maintain excellent performance for a long time.
